My computer sometimes shuts down in the middle of a burn. Anybody know why?

Mmmm .. strange M8 .. I am using RecordNow Max, and have never had that problem. Are you running any other progs, in the background, at the same time that you are doing your burn ??. What error message do you get, if any ?? ;)

No I am not running anything else. There are no other applications running. The screen just goes black and I have to restart my pc.
