I wonder if Memorex is consider a cheap alternative or a high-quality media?
also what brands are considered a high-quality(i heard that Japan disc is the best, so i wanna know which brand is made in Japan?)
I don't want to mess up my PS2?

I use Verbatim and Memorex +Rs in my v2 PS2. PS2 laser's have proved to be picky, its really trial and error. I have not tried -Rs on my PS2.
Do you know what version PS2 you have? I hear that the earlier versions generally don't like +Rs, but mine does. Find a friend with a +R and give it a shot, you just need to do some testing and that will tell you what your PS2 likes.

Depending on the version of your PS2 you should be able to use almost any DVDr I've used + & - on my version 7, Memorex does work for PS2, just be sure to always burn slower than the maximum, seems to work better!
