Thanks guys!

Unfortunately I'm still wasting DvD -R's.

I have tried expensive DvD -R's, I have tried to burn different games (Vice City, Tony Hawk and TOCA racing) without any success.

With the expensive/better DvD -R's I get the following error during the verification round in the program 'RecordNow MAX':

terminated with errors
error - 10 at sector xxxxxx - Command: 28 Sense: 03 ASC: 02 ASCQ:00

When I try to run the game on my PS2 (old model, 10 screws / modchip which runs with AR2) I just hear a high whisteling sound and that's it.

I am burning at 1x speed with a NEC ND 1300A -/+ burner.

I really don't know how to solve the problem. Help is very much needed.

Greetings,
Marlboroman

Not all burners are good enough to make a backup, and the NEC is not that good a dvd burner as it is im sorry to say, invest in a sony burner or a pioneer 106.

Also invest in decent Media like datasafe to make back ups.

What software are you using?

Marlboroman, your problem is the mod chip. You have to get a mod chip that will directly boot your disc.Like the messiah or the Mars chip. And copy ps2 games is very easy.I prefer the pioneer a06 that i am using. But a dvd- writer that can write 4-speed is also good.Simply use nero and run disc to disc copy on 4-speed.But you also need 4-speed discs.very easy.

im pretty sure that the discs are dvd+r, not -r. i think thats your problem.
