um...i'd say at first, b4 i saw a lot of the games there were....4 reasons:
1. THE SPECS....when ps2 had been out for a little and there was word about the specs of the new machines (originally i was goin for gc)...but i saw how small and cra*ppy it looked so i went for the box
2. Halo....need i say more?

ya man i was gonna buy a gc aswell but then i heard of xbox and i saw its game called halo then went on the internet and found pics and wut the games bout it was jsut amazing

Mainly coz i played my m8s then got 1 a week l8r coz i was playin halo :D....Also wanted it coz er.....well its a sound console ;)
