daemon tools question

You know how daemon tools can mount a virtual cd from an image??

Well is there such a thing as an empty cd image file...
For example if I wanted to test a burn but had no spare discs, could I mount an image of an empty cd and burn to that...

I know you can burn to image, but was just wondering if you can do it this way too??

I dont know of any way to mount an empty CD image....but usually when I test, I just mount the image and install, and/or test using CDmage.

I don't think that's possible man. Daemon just runs full isos
