I picked up an AverMedia DVD EZMaker PCI from OfficeMax since it was free after rebate. I wanted to give it to someone as a gift for Christmas and but I want to know if there is a program that will just view the input, as it probably won't be used for recording. So really I just want to be able to hook up a console or something to it and use it as a TV.

I have Pinnacle Studio 8 installed and there is this "AM Capture" utility which will view the video input, but in very low resolution.

so...in conclusion, I'm looking for a program to view analog video signal from a PCI capture card, preferably full screen. Thanks!

Well if you want a good free program that will do it there is virtual dub. It has all the video manipulation stuff in it as well but you can just watch the video coming from your capture card. Its not the easiest program to use but if you just want to watch the video its pretty straight forward.
