problem with XIII [Archive]

I playing the game, everything goes nicley...Untill, i get to a level, a mountain, coverd with snow. i need to enter some numbers 2 past the door, & the game says:" If you want the magnetic card (to unlock the door) buy the game!". The nfo. file says to put the disc in warm water for 3 hours (WTF?????!!!!!!). What i need to do??? PLZ HELP
