Does anybody know where i can get a really good tutorial for this?

As i am doing a website for a friend of mine and i have a menu at the top that will be like the one on this forum www.monstergamer.net (http://www.monstergamer.net)

I am a real NooB when it comes to java script so any help would be greatfull.
