Soul reaver 2 problem

I ve just bought this brilliant game and i have a really big problem. When i see the cinematic with moebius and the soul reaver right after that i get outside the room killing a few enemies to discover there's no way out the stronghold. -I know how to pass through doors-. The most annoying thing is that: I CANNOT SAVE MY GAME. I read the manual and it says that i must push the action button when i m in front of some king of things with candles of it but it still does nothing. Finally, in the beginning room the door with the orb does not open. Even when i ve killed all the enemies of the stronghold. Help me please!

Crap. I played through that game when it came out. I bought it the day it hit the shelves and beat it a couple days later. I would install it and play through that part for you, but unfortunately I traded it in for as much store credit as EB would give me. ... My advice would be to freelook and if you cant see anything you think will solve your proble, try going to www.gamefaqs.com or www.cheatcc.com for a walkthrough.. sorry I couldn't be of more help
