state of emergency wont start

hi out there! got this funny little game and anytime i wanna start it, nothing happens. when i check the log.txt it says Exception C0000005 caught at 00482D2E!
SAVE MY WEEKEND PLEASE!!!!!!

Is this a free game or what?
If you bought it, and it doesn't work, you could update your graphic card drivers.

But that kind of error is mostly related to memory problems. Maybe you have a bad copy?
