I want to backup my PS2 games. I just bought a LiteOn DVD +R / -R writer at Circut City for $89. What type of media do I need to use? Does it matter? What are the differences.

I sure ps2's can read both, but i would say -R, sd there cheaper. I suggest using a -R disc that use's the ritek dye (dark purple bottoms)

yep ps2's can read both. Doesnt really matter what disks you use (best results with the ritek dye). Just dont go for the really cheap disks (I use verbatim +r mainly because I can get them cheap).

Does anyone know of a better place to get the Ritek DVD-r's than this place? I was thinking to get either 50 or 100 depending on price

Those are pretty good prices, but I usually get my media from www.qtccdr.com and sometimes www.shop4tech.com
