NFSU game crashes [Archive]

i just bought NFSU the other day, it installed fine, only it gave me a prompt to install a newer version on DX9b, the prompt stated that i already a compatible version of DX9, but i had the option to install a newer version, i decided not to install it. when i am racing, the game will randomly crash with no freezing or error message, i cant figure out what is wrong. i have already installed the update patch but that it stills crashses.
running 98se, p4 2.4, DX9b, radeon 9000.
any ideas on what could be wrong????

have u got the latest drivers for ur card. there maybe some patch too. check their official website if a patch has been released

I think you need to update your graphic card drivers.

i have ATI 3.9 and it is all good for me. love that game

Okay, i installed 3.9 and now its works perfectly, also fixed alot of objects that werent bein rendered and fixed a problem (that i thought was unrelated) with Morrowind, thanks guys.
