need help with modded ps1

my son has a modded ps1, i do not know what chip is inside. when he tries to play spyro year of the dragon from the original he gets a message that basically says terminating software, console has been modified, any way around this? thanks, kmaccdad.

I am not sure, but you might just have to back it up and use one of these patches

gehenna. thanks for your help but i did some more checking, the patch will not work the game will play fine until you get to the last boss,then you start losing eggs, and the game either freezes or resets itself. thanks
