Need help or advise on gta3 & gta vice city. I installed vice city and there was no problem playing it but after I installed gta3, vice city refuses to even start. But gta3 is just fine... I think it may be directX or something. Reinstallation doesn`t help...

What version of DirectX?
And I hope you didn't install them both in the same directory :)

Also try to update your videodrivers (latest if possible)

I have directx 9 on my pc...
And no I didn`t installed them in the same directory :)

Get latest patch @ www.gta3.com (http://www.gta3.com)

Are you using original game ?

I tried to patch it, I just got the message that patch couldn`t recognize the version of the game.

Try to reinstall the game again and patch it.

This means you don't have the original exe file. Copy it back or do a reinstall as Astroboy said.
