is this a protection???? i have one copy of halo and have installed it on 3 comps. using same key. i cant play network game how do i get round this???

Buy 2 more copies.
If you read the licence that you agreed to before installing the game, you would know that one copy of the game can only be used on one PC.
It sucks. We all know it sucks but that's just how it is.
