IE6 on Win 2000

Is it safe to install IE 6 on Win 2k pro ??

I remember when I had Win ME, I installed IE6 and got startup error so had to reinstall computer.

I've been using IE6 on my PC @ home which runs Win 2K Pro Service Pack 2. No problems for me.

lol it was really strange, got some error and Windows stalled before the desktop icons appeared.

I have Win XP @ home now so np anymore.
