Gothic 2 "copy protection error"

Hi!!!!!!!!

Please Help me!!!!! I've just installed a version of gothic 2 downloaded from the net......the installation was ok, but in the game, when i try to hit somebody, appears this message: "copy protection error" and i can't hit anyone....what should i do??? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
