I'm trying to connect my xbox to my PC using a crossover cable. The NIC lights are on the xbox. I've searched the threads and tried every possible IP combination u can imagine. Still can't connect to xbox. Connection always times out. I'm not using a NIC card I'm using a NIC built into my motherboard. Do I have to change the MAC address to match the xboxs on my onboard NIC?

Are you sure the patch cable is good? Do you have a router you can try using instead of direct crossover cable from xbox to PC?
