I started using TuneUp 97 in 1997 and couldn't believe the difference it made to my PC.
TunUp Utilities was developed for XP and works great. It was one of the first programs I installed on my new system after I got it.
Well I decided to check the web site because I hadn't looked there for ages and to my delight I found that they now have English and French versions available, so I thought I would tell you all to give it a try.
Give it a go and post back what you think.

With a 56k modem that has not been set up very well this is not only possible but probable as most dial up settings are actually set for use with a 28k modem!

Yo, thanks for the Tune Up thinger. My system is a lot faster and i finally got rid of that damn WinPup! My internet is also a lot faster, sometimes... Its either really fast or really slow. Slow only on occasions prob just the page im on. O well... Thanks again! Wait! I got a question, does having a pretty high resolution picture as a backround make my system a lot slower? I have a screenshot of Halo, looks exactly like ur in the game.

Try running with them off and see what difference it makes.
Lower screen resolution will speed things up, as will running 16 bit colour rarther than 32.
800 by 1600 pixels with 16 bit (medium) colour and no background image is about the optimum settings for your system spec but it wont look too good so it's really a matter of personal choice.
