Can I play BF1942 + expansions at the same time? - help little, lost me!!

Hallo all you helpers!

This is a bit hard for me to explain, but i'll try anyway.
For some time ago I installed Battlefield 1942. Now I would like to buy the "new" expansions (Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII). But I have one major concern. I don't know if I will be able to click on one single icon, when I have installed the two expansions of course, and then play the original Battlefield 1942 plus the elements from the two expansions - you know kind of three in one ;).
If you have problems understanding what I mean please say so and I will explain it.

You can either launch them from separate icons

or

You can use just one of them. At the main menu there is a button on top that says "Custom Game". Since the expansion sets act as mods, they will show up in the list and you can change it like that.
