Hitman 2 crack/no-cd help

Alright for the past few hours I've been trying my hands trying to find a crack for Hitman 2. It's really starting to piss me off. I've tried the stuff at gamecopyworld, megagames, and gameburnworld etc and nothing has worked. The thing is is that I've had this game for a while and I played this very game when it first came out, I since uninstalled it and such, I come back to it and I have no clue how I got the damned thing to work in the first place. and as a note, after I install (x) crack all it does when I go to play it is flicker black then back to the desktop I go. If anyone could help or has had this problem and knows how to fix it it'd be greatly appreciated.

Apply the latest patch, and then apply a crack of the same version.
Then, retry. Also, update your graphic card drivers.

done and done. I installed the 1.01 patch, and dled and installed the gimpsrus v1.01 eng crack and nothing. Still the black flicker then back to desktop.

No other real ways to go about it then? I'm not sure if I had this problem the last time also either. Oh well if anyone has anything else thanks.

what graphic's card do you have??
could try uninstalling drivers and game and then wack them all back on. check you have DX9b. i had the same problem but mine was due to a backup copy. might have ago on that 2nite. mmmm

Same here. I have a Geforce 4 TI 4200 128meg. I'll try uninstalling the drivers and game together and see what I get. And yes I have DX9b... is that a problem?

Well when I first installed it (original) way back when yes it worked. But the original doesn't install now as it's been scratched to hell(stops at like 20%), seemingly why I have to back up every damned thing around here lol. The backup though installs fine and such just like the original did. I haven't tried wiping the game and drivers together as was suggested, I'll do it here in a second. I might delete the DX9b also and install the DX8.1 for the hell of it just to try that out.

I have no clue what I did but I got it to work... though it is lacking sound. For the most part what I did was install it, then I applied a v 1.01 crack the first time instead of updating it to v 1.01 and cracking it. I'm guessing it was already v 1.01? Now I just need to get the sound to work it's non existant.

To get the sound to work since it's a no-cd crack I'm guessing I would probably have to extract the sound to the harddrive would I not? The question is how exactly would I do that?

This is indeed a weird problem, usually a no CD crack shouldn't affect the sound of the game. Did u try download another no-CD crack from other crack sites?

Yes I've tried and they don't seem to work. If I could just get the sound to work... I'm guessing from extracting it I'd be fine, but I have no clue on how to extract it from the cd. It isn't to uncommon a problem a google search for "hitman 2 no sound" shows that when the no cd was released people had the problem of no sound, but yet there are no answers to how they fixed it.

Well I bit the bullet, I took the Geforce out of my primary (winxp) computer and threw it in a backup much slower one (with win98) and it works perfect. It's insane, I just install the backup and play, I don't need a crack or a nocd or anything it just plays sound and everything. I don't know what it is, it may be time to reformat. Unless anyone has any winxp specific thoughts on this perhaps. To bad I can't keep the Geforce in the other since I need it in the primary. Bah, damn you microsoft lol.

Thanks for all the help guys but I got it fixed. Everything is perfect now, graphics sound etc.

For anyone wondering or searching for an answer to the Hitman 2 no sound problem or cracks aren't working it's quite simple to get rid of:

open up the hitman2.ini in your hitman2 directory and create a line saying: EaxDisable 1

Simple as that. Thanks again everyone.
