I have a mod chip from mod chip.com it has 8 wires on it i can play cd-r fine it will not boot any dvd-r will this mod chip work and if so what meathod do i use.

If it magic 3 i just got it yesterday and has all the info about it.
1)press reset twice before it shows up on the T.V
