Hi.
I recently installed Halo for the PC...
It works fine on the web, but when i want to start the campaign, its returning to the desktop and some kind of a process window comes up and it sais: "Exception!" "Gathering exception data".
and when it disappears, its trying to run halo again but it pops up that windows Problem report thing...

The error signature is:
AppName: halo.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.564 ModName: halo.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.564 Offset: 000fcf81

And Exception Information:
Code: 0x0000005 Flags: 0x00000000
Record: 000000000000 Adress: 0x000000000004fcf81

WTF is that exception?!!? :beigeconf
Plz help! I want it to work!!!

Thanx, LiDoR_Ba

do you have the latest drivers for your video card? Also do you have DirectX 9b? I believe Halo makes use of it if your card supports it.

Try applying the latest patch for this game.

I have the latest drivers, the latest patch, i installed directx 9 that comes with the CD...

!The multiplayer works ok! so its not something about the graphics or the sound or something like that.,,, its something with the campaign...
Thanx everyone... i will just go and buy my own copy(it was my friend's copy) and it will be allright (i hope).

hey, the same thing happened to me with halo, you should try shutting down your computer and restarting it and if that dont work then insert the halo cd-rom and go to control panel and click new software or whatever and go to have cd then click reinstall and click fix corrupted files or whatever it says the installation will only take a few minutes and the bug should be fixed. hope i was a help.
