I need help with a bit torrent problem.

Just recently, any bit torrent downloads i have stopped working. the program just doesn't connect to other peers, and i dont know why. It was working a few days ago, but now it just stopped. I tried using a port scanner to see if there were any being blocked by my ISP, but it seems like there are none. I tried using torrent spy to see if the trackers were working properly, and everything seems to be fine on the other side, its just that my machine doesn't connect to any others.

Does anyone know what might have happened? I'm completley lost.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your sure that you aren't behind a firewall? Sometimes port scans can lie. I remember seing some command that you can use to work around a firewall but I can't remember what it is or where I got it.

I'm pretty sure, bit torrent always used to work. Just stopped working yesterday... My ISP in a university, so they may have done something, but I don't know, i doubt it. I have DC++ and Kazaa and both work fine.

I believe they use different ports. You may want to talk to the tech department. That is, if they don't frown upon that type of thing.

if u have had the torrent file for a while they might of updated it due to tracker probs try to download a new 1 or just use the old 1 and wait cos sometimes it takes a while to connect.
