First of all, sincere apologies if this violates the terms and conditions of the Megagames forums. I think this falls under the parameters of the Selling Zone; if not, I'll close it up promptly.

I'm posting an invitation for gamers who are interested in a full T1 of dedicated internet access to allow me to quote them a current price. Our (New Edge Networks) pricing right now is phenomenal, starting as low as $460/month. That's an all-inclusive price with router included, for 1.5/1.5 clear-channel, 100% CIR T1 of one-hop internet access out of our 30 POPs nationwide. Obviously terrific for gaming, servers, hosting, etc. I don't need a service address or telephone, just need an NPA-NXX (area code and first three digits, to determine what CO we're talking about).

I'm posting this offer because there are a lot of folks out there who paid a lot more for a T1 under contract, and are now out of contract but still paying an arm and a leg. If this is you, let me know what part of the country you're in and I can quote you a price. If it's in your ballpark, terrific, please contact me. If not, no worries. These will NOT be sold on these forums; instead, if I've got a price that you dig, we get in touch and work it out privately. Some notes:

I'm offering full T1 in METROPOLITAN MARKETS ONLY. Bay Area, Detroit, NYC, etc. I'd still like to price things out for you if you can't be served with a full T1, but the alternative will likely be a burstable T1, not the same thing at all. If you're totally out in the boonies, it's doubtful I can do anything for you. If you're within a few miles of a major market, though, definitely give me a try. I can offer a bursting T1 in over 2400 COs nationwide for $700; if this interests you, let me know in this thread.

I do ask that if you're not serious about spending hundreds of dollars on an internet connection, don't ask for a quote. These services typically run $400-$1200 a month; if that's too much for you, please don't waste all parties' time by requesting a quote. I'll quote every single thing that is requested, but manually prequalling Podunk, Mars will take time and energy and serve noone. If you'd keep that in mind, I'd appreciate it.

All I need to quote these is an NPA-NXX (area code plus first three digits). If you're interested, please reply. Thanks.

This is not against the rules, don't worry, but just one bit of advice..This sounds good and everything, but it might be a good idea to post your refrences ;)

Erm... sorry to seem naive, but are you referring to personal references as to my validity as a salesperson, or our standing as a service provider? Probably both, huh. Well, I'm reluctant to divulge client contact info on a public forum, as I'm sure you will understand. If negotiations begin in earnest on a network service, I have no doubt that something can be worked out. As far as my company New Edge Networks, I invite the curious to check us out on DSL Reports: http://www.dslreports.com/comments/1744 . This link only addresses our sterling reputation as a DSL provider (we are routinely ranked #1 among national providers in key categories such as value, reliability, support, etc.). I can assure people that the same caliber of service and support extends to our T1 products as well.

"Well, I'm reluctant to divulge client contact info on a public forum"

I was not & am not asking you to do that. Most companies have web pages, and provide other info that show their services, rates, company info, and so on.
It was nothing personal against you, I'm just simply trying to keep my members in mind, and looking out for them.

Anyway, I'll check out the link you posted (DSL reports)

Anyway, I'll check out the link you posted (DSL reports)Thanks very much for the clarification, Vile. I'm sure you understand that there are several interpretations of 'references'. You raise an excellent point, and I regret the omission. How's this, from our site (http://www.newedgenetworks.com)?

New Edge Networks is a national business broadband services provider that operates one of the largest multi-service data communications networks in the United States.

In addition to providing frame relay, wide area networks, and other advanced data services nationally, New Edge has one of the largest DSL coverage footprints for small and midsize cities across the country. We also provide dedicated high-speed Internet access in 30 major metropolitan areas. New Edge Networks offers frame relay access and gateway products through agent programs or complementary arrangements with other carriers.

We also provide a wide variety of business-class DSL and T-1 solutions through Internet Service Providers and our own retail channel under the TransEdge brand. Top-tier private venture firms, global financial institutions, and worldwide technology firms provide financial backing to New Edge Networks.

A more in-depth summary of the metro-market T1 product I'm quoting can be found here (http://www.transedge.com/products/t1/). I should note that I'm an employee of New Edge, not a partner or affiliate; I've been with New Edge for over 2 1/2 years, working tech support, operations, and sales support, and I know our product line inside and out. We're putting the finishing touches on our 13th consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth, so no one should have any concerns about our being a "flash-in-the-pan" provider. Actually, we just went cash-flow positive in June, no small feat in telecom, as you may know.

I've stayed with New Edge because we're small, flexible, and customer-focused. You won't find AT&T or Global Crossings querying gaming boards, presumably because it "doesn't fit their business model". Hey, that's nice. New Edge's business model is staying nimble, thinking outside the box, and providing a comprehensive array of services and solutions to enterprising power users and small-medium businesses. It occurs to me that Megagames probably has more than a few members who are IT admins, webmasters, etc., who are getting jacked around on their current pricing, and just need a better solution presented to them.

I really appreciate the feedback, Vile. I originally posted this a couple of weeks ago in Something Awful's "SA-Mart" (I am a 3-year veteran of SA) and got a terrific response, around 70 queries and five solid deals in the works. The message board format appeals to me because it's low-maintenance, and I assume it appeals to prospective customers because it's easy and anonymous. Legitimately curious about service? Tell me what you got. If I can do it at a fantastic price, wonderful, let's talk. If I can't, you're out 30 seconds of your life, with no one calling you, no one bugging you, end of story. I think the internet message board is a viable medium for basic quotes; Megagames represents my first 'blind post' in a forum in which I'm not established (I lurk here a fair amount). So I'm very grateful for your comments.

I don't bug people, and I don't snow people. If no one is interested, then let this thread peacefully expire. :)
