Problems with NHL 2004!! URGENT

I burned NHL 2004 for ps2 and the game loads up fine, but when i go to start a game, right before the game start, the whole thing freezes up. Has anyone tried this game yet and had success, i usually dont have problems with ea games. Any help would be great.

I have the exact same problem! Madden 2004 works fine and it hasn't been out that long. Foiled again! First DNAS and now this.
Anybody know of a patch?

Does it work when you use the original CD?
Maybe you made a bad backup or something...
