I have a ps2 model 30001 and am shoping for a mod chip, and dvd burner. I am guesing that some models play different types of media and I am trying to figure out what I am working with here. What version # do I have? And wich media is compliant with my version? I plan to buy a Pioneer 106/A06 Burner so I will have all media options. I also plan to buy a Messiah 2 mod chip. Does this sound like a good combination?

Version 6
Its classed as a v6 but is really just a v5 version with the motherboard connector for the front panel button connecting ribbon reversed. All Driver versions remain the same, therefore this is just a V5 variant and does not warrant classification as a 'V6
However there is a real v6 kicking about read this (http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=8851&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=)

Version 7
Models 39001 & 39002 & 39003
