dvd to cd-r help

Is it posable to burn a ps2 game, dvd rom to a cd-r and work. I have a dvd+r, tried to burn game, useing swap trick does not work. I have been told that only dvd-r work. I have a v4 ps2. some ps2 are cd rom all of them work and so do the ps1 games. recordnow max is what I use. please help.

do you have a mod chip

no mod chip. I have a flip top. only the cd-r games work on it. I have a dvd+r burner. not dvd-r.. unless there is a way to make it dvd-r. I would like to get a mod chip if I could find someone will to do a cod. I dont have a card.
