:gun3:

When you have installed the game open the properties right clickon the games icon to view its properties. You should then be able to see a a lkist thta say run with compatability version. Choose the compatability version of your game e.g winows 95 and then try again. If this doesn't work get back to me and i'll see what i can do. (ripfang666@hotmail.com)

NOTE:IF THE GAME RUNS ON A VERSION BEFORE WINDOWS 95 THEN IT WILL OT WORK WITH WINDOWS XP.

I have run one dos game in XP and it worked just great all i did was set the compatabilaty to win98, then i ran it and it work just great, but there is no need for me to play dos any more, we have HL2 to play, well we soon will.

Nt does have problems with running on XP but you could try changing compatibilty (probably wont work but there we are) or check the system specs of the game compare wiht your computer and see whether thing smatch e.g some nt game smay require Directx 9.0 and XP only has DirectX 8.0.

and XP only has DirectX 8.0.That isn't true, I must tell you.

DirectX 9.0b improves the graphics, security, and performance of your operating system. Download and install this update for your Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP-based system.

Abandon Loader will let you play ancient games. You could play King's Quest with it if you wanted to. Get your hands on it here...

You also might need VDMsound for sound card problems. It basically converts and streams old school audio to Direct X. It works in unison with Abandon Loader. There is a link to it on the same page.
