Tomb Raider Angel Of Death

Greetings to all who read this message. This is my first post so I apologise for any blunders while I get used to the forum policies and rules.

I have Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness & I seem to be hindered on the very first level of the game, my problem being, as the Paris level loads the game asked me to insert CD 1. I do this and the game starts to flash the same message on screen. I cannot alt-tab out as the screen refreshes every second bring the game screen back into focus.

Is there a patch I can apply to stop the CD check appearing? Has anyone had the same problem? As far as I can tell the game does not have any protection and shouldn't need the CD (which I gather from non-confirmed google searches).

I spread my arms wide in the hope that some game guru may have the knowledge to help me in this.

I checked out tombraider.com and went to the forum. Two other people had the problem, there was no replies to one post and the other claimed to have sorted the problem by freeing up more disk space his partition.

Sadly, that don't work for me. If anyone else is having this problem let me know and we can compare PC hardware and see if it's a hardware config problem.

In the meantime I shall march defiantly onwards.
