I've got an unmodded v1 xbox. I've installed Mordenkainen's audio hack to my box using the mechassault gamesave.
This the most hassle-free exploit I've ever seen. EvoX running on a completely unopened system (only when I want!), play backups, rip custom soundtracks, no clock issues, etc. Even an uninstaller is included.
Go to the codejunkies/action replay site (US side), download the action replay software. from inside AR, go to the communities saves, pick mechassault, & get the "This is the save you want!!Phoneix Audio Exloit" file. It's flawless. Just be sure to have/update to the LIVE dash, ie 4920.
There's even a walkthru to image your drive, replace it with a bigger one, put the image on the new drive, & lock it so the xbox will accept it.
Then you have extra storage for backup, ;)
