Connecting to Xbox

Ok now i am stuck i have got the dashboard on DVD in my xbox and i have got the IP address but when i connect through Flash XP i just get connection failed everytime.

I have got it connected through a hub to my PC and then the hub in a second Network card.

Please help me i am a newbie

Do you have a crossover cable you can test going directly from your PC to your xbox? (even though it should work fine using the method you did)

What are the exact settings you are using for your PC & xbox? (IP)

Make sure it's: (PC)

IP: 192.168.100.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Def. Gateway: 192.168.100.2

And xbox IP:
192.168.100.3

user: xbox
pass: xbox

Umm hate to tll you but it did not work mate, i am starting to think the cable i have in my hub is not a crossover cable. But i dont know.

well if ur using a hub u dont need a crossover cable!
ok try this

pc
192.168.1.101
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1

xbox
first 2 options set to yes
ip 192.168.1.102
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1
xbox
xbox
save and exit
reboot ur xbox
flash fxp
duh change the ip to 192.168.1.102
xbox
xbox
if that doesnt work try
same thing but on pc's ip 192.168.100.4
xbox 192.168.100.2
also make sure ur xbox is communicating take a look at the back of ur xbox n see if the nic card light's on.

Well i am useing different IP addy's than you guys, but that should not make a difference.

On my Xbox i have

IP: 192.168.0.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

On my PC i have

IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

But it still dont want to connect i have made sure that my Firewall is off, so i am stuck, cos from what i am reading this should work.
