problem playing this import please help

I have bought the Import game Saber Marionette J Battle Sabers. Now I have other Imports but this is the only import that wont play on my playstation. For my other games i use the method of pluggin my action replay in the back and having the system read the american game then load the import. I have an older model of the PS. I tried this method for saber marionette and it only played the opening movie and then sat at a black screen. I then bought a PS-X change 2 disc to see if that would help, but i get the samething. Opening Movie plays and then i get a black screen. The disc still spins and it sounds like the system is reading the disc. I have allowed it to sit like that for around 10 minutes and still nothing. does anyone know of any way to help me out? I spent alot of money on this game and i do NOT want a paper weight. thanks for your time

i do not know if this will work,but sometimes works with my games that
have a hard time booting up.

i meself have an cheap knock off of the action replay
onthat you can view the files on the psx disc(you can normally use it
to view movies files)
i do not know if the action replay does this too

if it does look in the file dir for files with an exe or files with sles or slus in it and actived that file this usually starts the game(the strange
thing is it still starts the game at the beginning but jumps over protocols the playstation normally does,this sometimes will get an game working wich first didn't)

since it is an jap game you probebly have the look for an exe file
i know that files with sles in it are european
and slus are american,but do not know wich exact file on japanese games start the games,try activeting several files i think its an exe file
