^^ Anyone have even a hunch on how to do this?? I mean, it's possible to convert the cutscene/FMV files to readable movie formats on a PS One disk, but that was a rather simple process.......I have no idea where to start for a PS2 disk.......

Depends, the FMV's it may be a lot simpler.
Do remember FMA's will be impossible to rip.

You could always use a PCTV card mate.

I would if I knew what you were talking about. I've never heard of a PCTV card.

The file extensions that I am trying to convert are .PSS, if that matters....

Use pss plex here http://rorr.customer.netspace.net.au/index.htm

To split it into a mpeg2 and wav file ,then use tmpgenc to encode the mpeg2 and wav to the format you want.

OK, I did this and converted to MPEG but whenever I try to play it, I get this message:

"Couldn't open the file 'testvid.mpg' because a software component needed by the movie was not found"

Suggestions?
