Counterstrike prob

OK.. if im in a counterstrike game, I cant move the mouse (to look around) at the same time as moving forward or backwards.... this means I have to come to a total stop before I can aim and fire.

Needless to say.. its not a pretty sight.

Any help appreciated

had a similar problem like this. I reinstalled the game and it worked fine.

yeah i would opt for a reinstall too!!
is this the hl addon or cs retail??
i can send u my config if it helps...

Well I did a re-install... HL, HL update, then CS.

Still exactly the same. As soon as I walk forward my mouse totally locks until I come to a complete stop..

Errrrrrrrrrrrr... That's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. MOUSE LOOK is ON, so that is ok. Make sure nothing else is ON that shouldn't be.

tried every option possible.

I plugged in my joystick... and I can then look and walk. The only problem is its impossible to play a FPS with a joystick...

Ive tried all the options mouse look etc...

The mouse works properly playing OFFLINE... but it cant be lag or else the joystick wouldnt work either..

Works properly OFFLINE?!? Now that IS weird! Sorry man. Don't know what else to tell ya. :(

Is it safe to assume that you have this problem on any server you join?

yes.. still present on all online games... but if it was lag surely it would affect me looking around with a joystick as well - which it doesnt.
