If i'm using windows xp and only have 64MB of sdram and burning could there be any problems with the burning process? Do burners use there buffers when making copys or do they use the computer's ram?

you might want to make sure you are running as few applications as possible when you burn. that's pretty low

also make sure you burn at the lowest speed possible. it is a very bad idea to even run windows xp with that little RAM in the first place. But to burn CDs... damn..

As i've said before, it is a memory-taxing activity. Remember to burn at the lowest speeds possible and to close ALL taskbar programs while burning. You shouldn't have too much of a problem then. Also mind telling us what burning software you plan on using?

FlyBoy said it all: 64Mb is waaaaaay to low!
You should at least have 128, certainly to burn CD's.
