Best MP3 player

well what's the best music/mp3 player. i was using Real Jukebox but i am currently using winamp3. but many ppl say that winamp3 isnt as good as winamp 2.7?

I use both Winamp 3x along with 2x, but some don't like 3x since it hogs so much system. If you want the nice effects, skins, etc Winamp 3x is the way to go, but if you just want a software MP3 player and don't have all that much RAM, stick with Winamp 2x

I use Winamp 3, works well for me. Do need more RAM, but it's fine still.

I use Winamp 3 and I only have 128mb ram. I sometimes use Coolplayer (http://coolplayer.sourceforge.net/) as well.

Winamp sucks, I used it for about 2 years and got sick of it, then went to Music match jukebox ( http://www.musicmatch.com ) its ALOT better

I agree winamp 2.9x is the best MP3 player out there but winamp 3 is a media player so it is bound to use more resorces.

I use Winamp 2.91, tryed 3 but didnt like it that much, has some nice skins though.Cant remember why i didnt like it though.

Winamp 3 takes longer to load and the progy just aint as good as 2.91 for playing MP3's but it's a decent enough media player.
For MP3 playback I say Winamp 2.91

I agree with you guys. Personally I'm using 2.91, and sometimes use WA3 to show off it's visualization (it doenst affect my system much) but overall, I don't think it's worth all the system resources.

As for MusicMatch, I hate this prog as well. I have the latest version installed, and the only time I've used it is to sync my MP3s to my Ipod, that's it. Other than that, I wouldn't go near this program.

well WorlWydeHusla your crazy hehe, running xp with 128mb i would never recommend that. winamp3 doesnt' use THAT much resources, but musicmatch use's ALOT more resources then winamp3.

well i have already tried musicmatch and i dont like it much. i was content with real jukebox but since they released real one i am searching for a better one. i was using winamp3 till now. i will try to get

I use Winamp3 with 256 mb ram.

Still it's slower than WA2.

Just as Vile says, if you don't need all the stuff WA2 is better, I might get that again.

But WA3 has some nice things like fading.

Winamp 3 has some great 3rd party plugins (such as DFX) which can really enhance the music.

I use that if im listening to music (more than 1 or 2 tracks), but use media player for everything else.

Ha, I hate Winamp, its so cluttered and unorganised, you know how hard it is to organise 700 songs with Winamp? Really hard I tells ya

I have almost 3,000 mp3s... It would take too long.

well i have got winamp 2.91. but i think it will take some time for me to adjust to it. does anyone know where to get real cool skins based on LOTR, Matrix and Terminator. well i dont know much abt these kinda things as i have just started to use winamp.

i orginize my music folder *i ripped 70% of my music myself* , and i will just play by band or album in band , i dont' see any reason to have all your mp3's in a list , thats just crazy i think

They actually improved the new version. Winamp 5 loads fast, just like WA 2x.
