PS2 Backup

I know this is a board for mostly PC Games, and i'm sure this may not even be the correct board to post under. If it isn't, please post it in the right one (mod). My question is about PS2 games and DVD's. Most PC games are cheaper than PS2 games and it is legal to make a back-up copy of PC games. I spend a fortune on PS2 games and i want to know how to back up my games incase something happens to it. Also, the same for DVD's. I know i need a DVD burner first of all...but after that, what do i do?

Consoles are discussed as much as PC's on these boards ;) We even have a section completely dedicated to it.
Anyways, it is perfectly legal to create backups for your PS2 games if you own the original as well (which is your case) so I'm certain you'll get help.

When you say 'also the same for dvds' are you refering to ps2 dvd roms or dvd films.
