help backing up my game

he i just bought resident evil 3 because the one i had before this crack in half due to my nephew. Anyway i bought a new one so now i want to make a backup so this doesnt happen again. So im trying to back it up i burned it the right way and everything from the megagame site and tried booting it with the gameshark 2 boot method. Which lets me use psx backups on ps2. I do everything and it doesnt load could anyone help me?

Resident Evil 3 is copy protected. Download the patch from the console section of Megagames. There's plenty of tutorials to apply the patch.

if resident evil 3 is copy protected why isnt there any us/ntsu patches that say protection patch theres only trainers for the us/ntsu and ive already tried the trainer patches

Sorry I assumed you were trying to backup the PAL version, I can't help you there, Sorry.
