I just recently bought a dvd burner, and now i am interested in makin backups of my dvd games. I have a gameshark2, but none of the dvd copies i make seem to work. It would be greatly appreciated if some one out there can help.

Which version of PS2 do you have, and what type of modchip do you have? Your PS2 needs to be chipped to play backups FYI.

Model 30001
The chip is 2 years old but that is all i know. I have numerous copies on CD's but this will be my first ones on dvd. If i have to upgrade my chip, do you know what the latest version out there is, and is it worth spending the money now or waiting for the next machine to come out. I have a gameshark 2 and if possible i would like to solve this problem without spending anymore money!!!!!!!

I think it is called a swap chip

I think this was answered on another thread.

Because you have a swap chip, you need to use an original DVD game to swap with your Backup. The overall size of your original MUST be bigger than the backup you want to play. Do some searches on google for swap techniques using gameshark and you will find the method.
