Copy it with Clone cd or Alcohol Software 120% to make perfect copies.
Don't know about protection tho.
With Clony XXL you can detect the settings.
If it says you need to put in disc, get a no-cd crack or backup crack from www.megagames.com/gcracks.html (http://www.megagames.com/gcracks.html)

I think Renegade has the SafeDisk 2 protection (like most C&C games)
First, check if your writer is supported by CloneCD (see link in my signature), then clone the CD with cloneCD at low speed (yes 2x is recommended) and with the FAST ERROR SKIP option ENABLED.

Oké. I will try that, and i hope it will work then! Thank you
Hi
i downloaded a crack for my version and it work (YIPPIE)
The only downside is i get an error when i start the game, but simply click cancel and i can play!
But i only had one question: If a OFFICIAL Patch is available and i download it, do i have to get a new crack??

Yes you do. But if you check back at MG or MGF there should be a new one available within a few days. Sometimes that day even, but not usually.

And you can only apply the patch if you first recopy the original game.exe file (located on the CD) to the game folder, apply the patch, then apply the crack.

What you need it clony xxl from www.gamecopyworld.com
Then Bones CCD4 Profiler to read the settings. Then clone cd to read the settings from Clonyxxl. Before with older version of clonyxxl, you didn't need to get bones ccd4 profiler, but for some strange reason, clone cd will not detect the setting from the newest version of clonyxxl so you have to use bones to read the clonyxxl settings then load them into clone cd. You can get all of these programs from www.gamecopyworld.com

Well that's a lot off work. Can't i just copy it with the newest version of Clone CD for a perfect copy (i mean with this i don't have to download cracks anymore)

it's not much work
just use the program to detect settings, then burn with those settings in Clone CD and you might have a perfect copy

Ok. I have both of those programms. I will detect what protection is on the cd and then burn it with clone cd! I hope i get a perfect copy. Else i will get back here ;-)

Making a good copy with CloneCD depends on a few things: the settings under which you make the clone, your hardware and the protection of the CD.
Feel free to ask more help :)

Oke i'm asking for more help :-)
What are the best settings in clone cd? How can i check what kind of protection the cd has?

Detecting the protection has to be done with a program named ClonyXXL (http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_2.shtml#ClonyXXL)
Just inster the CD, start the program, select the correct CD drive and click on "Scan"
I bet 100Eur that it's SafeDisk 2... and to copy that, use CloneCD, with FAST ERROR SKIP option ENABLED ans at 2x Read/Write speed.
However, in order to succeed without using a crack, you need to check if your writer is Supported by CloneCD. Click here (http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html) for a list of supported writers. If it faisl, use a crack.

Oke thanks a lot. I'm trying to burn this evening.

I tried to burn it. But it took me 2 and a half to 3 ours to burn, and it wasn't done then. I used the settings in the reply obove: so the fast eroor skip option and burning speed 2x
Is it normal that it takes more than 2 ours?

Safedisc 2 uses bad sectors on the disc to prevent most software to back it up perfectly. When you first start to copy the disc, it will take some time as it is reading the bad sectors in the disc. Hence, the reason for ticking fast error skip. Once it gets past the bad sectors, copying will go by much quicker. Its just the first 10-15% of the disc that takes the most time to copy. CloneCD and Alcohol 120% are the only 2 proggys I have used to burn perfect 1:1 copies of Safedisc2 protection. There may be others but these 2 are the most popular.

yes, although I read @ 1x and burn @ 16x with no problems. But you may want to stick to 2x R & W until you know what your writer is capable of.

What I meant by "knowing what your writer can handle" was knowing if you could burn that fast and still get a 1:1 copy. As in, I know I can burn that fast and get a perfect copy that needs no cracks to play. In your case, this is your first attempt at burning a 1:1 game. Stick with the low speeds unless of course you have plenty of CD-R's and time.

orite you can have a patch but do you know what a crack is ?
D*mn, I did everything you guys said, but still it didn't work. I copied it with clone CD on the way you said.
Thanks anyway. If someone of you has another idea to make a perfect copy, please name it and i will listen.

The clone cd should do it. You are just doing something wrong. I would try to find a guide. Let me see if I can find a site where it will have a step by step guide.

I'm 90% sure your writer is not supported. What is your writer brand and model? (be specific)

Well the brand is ACER and the model is:
ATAPI CD-R/RW 12X8X32
I hope that will help you further
