GTA: Vice City

Hi everyone,
I got GTA VC and i installed it, but it won't play!!! :cussing: So i deinstalled it, and istalled it again, but it still wont play...grmbl...
could it be because i installed the radio packet too?
Hope some1 knows how to solve it.....CUZ I WANNA PLAY THE GAME!!!!

Well im not sure exactly what your problem is but when a game refuses to load up it could be related to system requirments. Do you have DirextX8.1 or better installed? When was the last time you defragged your hard drive? Post back with more detail about your problem next time :)

Try a NO CD crack from the Cracks in this place.
Or Uninstall then reinstall without doing anything yourself and try running it.
If the NO CD doesn't work, Try getting the 1.1 patch.
If that doesn't work, like Snails said, Find out if you have DX8 and maybe upgrade to DX9, and get the latest Drivers for your Video Card.

Well I think I know what the problem could be..I've got Windows ME on my comp... :rolleyes: (actually weird, cuz the system requirements says that it'll also work with ME..) but i've got the DX9 and I defragged my hard drive last week!!! :@ But on my laptop i've got XPpro and now its working :):) (thank god hahaha)

no its only working at my laptop, and thats a lot harder to play the game!!! :( but it works and thats the point, haha

How fast is your Desktop Comp and How much RAM and How good is your Video Card?

Does it Run at All? Try Lowering the Detail Level;)

hahaha, now you're asking me things I really dont know!! :S:S But i do know my Desk Comp is fast enough, i've got enough RAM and i've got a good Video Card... but the fact is..it just wont run! But i doesnt get a error. So when I press on the button from vice city to play the game, my comp is searching for a few seconds and than he just stops (no crash, but he just stops with searching)

Is it a burnt copy? Sounds like it. You should try download the 1.1 Patch...

Otherwise just enjoy it on the Laptop... You can plug a mouse intot he back of that to make it a little easier at least;)
