i need help with another game

i just installed the demo of freelancer when i go to play it the screen turns black and the computer locks up

i have a 1.4 gigahertz
g-force 2 64mb vedeo card
17 inch moniter
256ram
and directx9 and new videodrivers

plees help me:(

try unistalling it and do new install, might also be the size of your ram 256 just doesnt cut it these days!

And did you get this demo from the official website? The demo could be screwed.

Well i have a Freelancer installed on my comp right now and run it quite fine on my Athlon 1800+ with 256 mb of DDR Ram. ( Note: if your RAM is SD it could be that causing the problem. 256 mb of DDR ram runs Twice as fast as 256mb of SDRAM) Then again i run A GeForce 4 Ti4600 under the bonnet but a GeForce 2 should be able to keep up. Perhaps its the demo at fault?

Yeah like the guys said it may be the demo. And You'll get this at least every thread. Its about time to update that vid card;)

Does Freelancer give you the option to change details without going into the game? If So, Try that;)

make sure to get the latest detonator files from www.nvidia.com

The Latest Are Often Unstable (But Usually Marked If So), so go the Detonator drivers previous to the last Version;)
