Sorry...
The game lacks when we ARE playing the game..
we have no probs in singleplayer...
i have a geforce both of us, so that should not be the problem...

what sort of cpus and how much ram are u's running?? and who is hosting who........ the host should have the fastest cpu wif the most ram....... hosting a game requires a fair bit of power and it also chews a lot of ram...... sooo if it is lagging which i think is what u mean..... try lookin' at your ram and cpu's.... considering this is a fairly new game and u probably running it over 100mbps?? i would look at gettin' more ram and or upgrading cpu.... if u don't wanna do that.... ur stuck wif the lag i afraid .... catch ya l8rs

A lagging game during multiplayer is mostly caused by too high PINGs... if one player has a high ping, all players will lag. To make sure that your ping stays as low as possible, deactivate any online programs you have running before you play (like MSN, mIRC, kazaa, etc)

Do you have a firewall, or maybe Zone Alarm working in the back ground that is making the PC lag?

No i have not firewall(i think so)
Could it just be a problem with the game?

Well, i have a neighbour across my street tht also has problems playing Generals through a LAN, his computer wasnt a sluggish beast either. It was a XP2100 with 384mb ram. We deactivated as many running programs as we could when connected to the internet and then gave the drive a good defrag. It runs at least 50% better now. Perhaps this could help you
