Gah! Bought Midnight Club II and it doesn't even work!

I have a Kyro II 64Mb 4500, comes up with an error reading "make sure you are running in 32bbp mode with a DX9 compatible driver"

Anybody else have this, anybody know what that means?? I already have DX9. What does bpp mean?? 32-bit??? Its already in 32-bit mode, I dunno, anyway, anybody know anything??

Hmmmm, trying to install the latest drivers of the graph card could perhaps solve the problem.
And are you sure you installed the latest DirectX?

Start - > Run

Type DXDIALOG

Check your version.

Try reinstall Directx.

I should have the correct version of DirectX, installed off the disk. When I try to see what it is though, it says cannot find the correct path and to make sure all the libraries are found

In the original thread, he mentioned he's already using 32 bit mode.

ah I should read everything, nway he might not know if its in 32 bit try setting ur gfx card by right clicking desktop>setting>advanced and should have a tab for ur gfx card and change the gfx card texture depth.

As I said, I already am in 32bit mode. I may not know much, but I know that.
Think I'll prolly just get a new graphics card, thanks for u's help anyway

I'm surprised you even got THAT FAR. The 4500 is an extremely old Voodoo 4 chipset, and is not made to run anything higher than direct X 5 or 6. I would not be surprised if you didn't have compatable drivers. Your video card drivers are probably WAY too old to run direct x 9 material, let alone would the drivers even ALLOW you to install DX9 without getting fatal GFX card errors. I'd say update your graphics card, it's pitifully old.

Because your Graphic card doesn't support higher resolution.
You can try to update your graph card drivers, but I doubt that will work.
I'm not sure however, I could be wrong

}I have the same problem on my pc, and i think it could be a problem in the crack non-cd. I don't known for sure... If someone could send us an new crack, it could work...

Try redownloading the thing, megagames.com obvious place to start. And although your graphics card supports up to a resolution, sometimes it can't run the game at full resolution. I would suggest trying an original cd, or a new crack, then try reinstalling if that doesn't work. Last, reformate everything and start over, j/k. My computer friend's Geforce 2 won't run UT2k3 at anything higher than 800x600, and thats acceptable, his card just sucks, so upgrade or put up with it as a last resort.
