I got this problem and I don't know how the hell I can fix it.
My PC worked just fine last week (I shut it down normally, no errors occured), then, I didn't go on my PC for a week, and when yesterday I wanted to turn it on, the screen just remained black. completely BLACK as if there was no communication between the screen and the PC.
So I opened my PC to check if the graph card was plugged correctly, and yes, it was plugged correctly.
Now, I bought a new mobo some days ago, so I thought "I'll just install the new mobo and the new CPU, it will probably work again"... I changed the mobo, the RAM (from SD to DDR), the CPU, the Cooler EVEN THE POWER SUPPLY, but still the screen remained black.

Maybe it was the screen... NO, because I tried the screen on a laptop, and it worked fine. SO I tried to insert my old graphics card (PCI) and still, I have problems. Can somebody please tell me what the hell this is? I tried everything: using another mobo, other RAM, other CPU, other Graph Card (AGP and PCI), other power supply, other cooler, tried the screen on a laptop... I'm desperate.

Last thing: when I looked at the screen's connector (the thing you plug on the graph card) some of the pin's were missing, but again, it worked fine (all colors were also normal) on a laptop.

EDIT: forgot to mention: I see the LED's of the computer light up, and I hear the computer boot. I don't know if he starts windows normally tho, since I can't see anything on the screen.

Thanks for eventual help :(

Try twisting and turning the leed
I had one that would go black green or normal depending on which way I twisted the leed (broken wires)

I'll try that. All I ask you now, is to tell me what the leed is (I'm just a frenchie/belgiumee you know ;))

Anyways, thanks for your time, m8.
I'll let you know when I tried it.

Spy, best thing to do is make sure everthing is seated correctly, on your mobo, the mobo is fixed in place; no where it can be shorted, there may be a comptability conflict some where. make sure you r getting power to the PC, things like that.

You know the score ;)

Maybe this will help.

Could be the mobo, graphic card or ram.

You were all correct, comrades. It was the RAM. I added new 512 DDRAM sticks and it works like a charm.
Thanks for the help @ everyone. Very appreciated :)

I thought you said and may I quote (I changed the mobo, the RAM (from SD to DDR), the CPU, the Cooler EVEN THE POWER SUPPLY).
So If you already changed the ram wouldnt you have fixed the prob the first time.
Im glad my only prob is my spelling:doh:
