hay how would i be able to make my computer a web page server thing.
like so i could have my page saved on my hard drive and people be able to access it that way. i want this so i can have as much space as i can, no banners and just so i know how.

Its not as easy as it sounds, well it is, but it isnt.

You'll need a very fast connection, check your upload speed.

Then download PHP Triad (search www.google.com - always in the top 5).

Get your client ip by right clicking on your ISP Connection in ya systray, write down client ip.


Then any file in C:/apache/htdocs

is

http://[yourclientip]


Thats just the simple way, if you want to turn it into a web server so you can use .com's... thats a different matter and i wouldnt attempt it with no knowledge about this.

well i got the new one with options and stuff not the dos like window one which i have now. but i tried what you said pie and it was exactly what i want thanks.

and what better way to lern than trying it first and working out the mistakes.:flame2:

I would not even try to attempt it on a dial up mate, as Pie said you need a really fast connection.

This is probably the 3rd-4th time I've seen you tell people to go to your board, when they ask for help HERE. The first & second time it just was, but not it's very annoying, so I really think you should stop your spam.
