Sound Card problems!

Hey,

I'm having a problem with my sound blaster live 5.1 sound card. my problem is, the sound on my computer is randomly muted without any assistance from me. i have to go through the control pannel to un-mute it, i'm running a 1900+ proc. asus a7v333 mobo, and windows XP pro. any help would be grand

Best thing to do is Uninstall it, take the sound card out of the machine and put it in a differant PCI slot then install the new hardware, go on-line downloads the new XP Drivers here (http://www.creative.com). Then install the Software then update the software drivers you just downloaded.

Brick is right. Also, make sure that any 'onboard' sound is disabled as well.
