i've just reinstalled w2k but can't get the res to 1024. any ideas?

What graphic card do you have ?

Download the latest drivers and make sure to set correct monitor and update drivers for monitor if needed.

The man didn't mention about loading the drivers so obviously he has to load the drivers. Winbloze will not let you go out of 800x600 because it can't render any higher than that by itself. Install your graphics card drivers and tell us what happens ;)

Nope, not really true actually. This is the case with Windows9x, but Windows NT + will let you go above 8x6 using a generic monitor & drivers.


Anyway, you need to install the drivers for your vid card, & monitor and then increase the res.

With generic you mean Windows standard (plug n play) monitor ?

hi, it was just as simple as bringing my refresh rate down.
