if ur using winxp u can easily connect with the fallowing options
pc ip
192.168.100.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1
xbox
192.168.100.3 if not try with 1 instead of 3
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1
ok just to make sure reburn evox but b4 burning it open evox.ini with a notepad (it should open with a double click n replace the network section with this
[Network]
SetupNetwork = Yes
StaticIP = Yes
Ip = 192.168.100.3
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway = 192.168.100.1
DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
DNS2 = 0.0.0.0
and this section
[FTP]
Enable = Yes
Password = xbox
IGR = Yes
[RDTOOLS]
Enable = Yes
Name = XBOX
IGR = Yes
now save the changes n burn the disc again, make sure u change the ip on flash fxp for either 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.100.3 user xbox pass xbox port 21

Download the latest bios here http://www.biteable.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ put them on the bios folder located on c:/bios if u already replaced the original xbox dashboard with evox also u did know xbox cant read cdrs right? just the samsung drive but u need to be so damn lucky to get 1 anyways try burning it to a cdrw read my xbox backup tutorial to c how u can use record now max, after putting the bios on the bios folder, reboot ur xbox n go to system utilitys n go to flash bios ur new bios should be there select it n hit a (note u need to have a mod chip that allows u to flash bios like lcp mod chip) then hit y ur xbox will turn off, turn it on again n done :)
@ archfantom plz do not spam the board! you have a warning :mad:

i've done refear to this tutorial and i hadn't problemz:
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/network.php
however remember u have to use a crossover cable only if u directly connect the xbox to the pc; u have to use a direct cable with an hub and u have to set the hub to use this type of cable.
if u don't know the type u have go here:
http://edu.supereva.it/giopower/vg/xbox_tutorials/xbox_tut001.html
hope this could be usefull4u.
ps: i'm using a notebook to connect (without an hub); i've seen u have to turn on the pc before and waiting for it to enter in the operating system and then u can turn on the xbox with the cable connected if u want its gonna work...
